The Design Chapel

Preshita Shah Gupta the founder of “The Design Chapel” studio is an alumini of the Centre of Environmental Planning and Technology, (C.E.P.T University), Ahmedabad. She graduated from the School of Interior Design (SID) with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Architecture and was awarded the Vastu Shilpa Foundation Award for the best graduating student in the year 2009 – 2010 from the University. She was also awarded the Baden- Wuttemburg Scholarship to study design at the Hochschule Fur Technik (HFT), University of Applied Sciences Stuttgart, Germany as part of the student exchange program. She did her graduate research thesis on ”Cross Cultural Interactions and Identity : An enquiry into the evolution of domestic built form and its interiors in Goa through Centuries”which helped her understand how it is important for architecture and design to be rooted in its region, vernacular, culture and environment.She believes that built form and interiors are always evolving and it is important to adapt to the present influences and design for the future.
