Project Designers

Lalit Hira is an interior and furniture designer in practice for almost four decades. Qualified from Sussex, England in 1980, he established his Interior and Furniture design consultancy – called Project Designers in Mumbai in 1984. Functioning wholly on a multidisciplinary design axiom, his core area of specialisation is designing interiors for the residential segment although he has designed for a wide spectrum including corporates, small and medium retail, institutions, banks, laboratories, post-production studios, national and international exhibitions including one at the prestigious Mogul Gardens of Rashtrapati Bhavan (Indian Parliament House), New Delhi. Mr. Hira has on many occasions enjoyed the opportunity of teaming up with numerous other design practices from India, UK and Germany, sharing his experience and knowledge by participating at various stages of their projects. Designing custom furniture has always been an integral part of Mr. Hira’s interior design practice and taking this forward, he has prototyped, registered and owns seven furniture designs – “Seating Solutions” (Registered in India), and one Utility (Patent pending in India).
