Interior designer Simran Kanungo and Preksha Shah began her career in mumbai city in the mid – 2016’s after graduating from Rachana Sansad with a degree in Interior design . Having met on benches of Rachana Sansad, their design ideas, practicality and creativity clicked immediately which led them to become business partners. Finding a semblance between art and design, they have been spearheading their own design firm “ The Open Door” since mid-2018 and have been handling various design projects in mumbai and beyond. Always aiming for “WOW” a multifaceted, conceptual driven and heartfelt spaces have been core of The Open Door. From residential spaces, holiday homes to offices the studio has dedicated to highest level of detail and creative expression. Their aesthetic sensibility has found its way to various locations pan india. Exploring different materials, concept, graphics, colors , forms and a careful blend of contemporary modern and vintage, they try to create a joyful experience and story line that comforts the client.
