Prema’s Home Decor Ideas

Greetings ! I am an artist (painter) and a budding home Interiors Stylist. From as far back as I can remember…I have loved playing with colours. I love my whites and greys as much as my corals 🙂 :-). And I’ve always managed to fuse my colours tastefully. Sometimes bohemian…..at times…old world….and often contemporary !! Watching a house develop into a home is always a magical experience….an “Alice in wonderland” kinda feeling :-). Parallel to all that….was my creative track that kept me grounded, joyous and soulful ! I started painting more and exhibiting ..a few years back, and still maintain a small studio for my painting time. While doing up my earlier home, my sis-in-law’s home and a friend’s room…I had seen that I had a decorator’s ethos. I could engage with the person who’s house I was helping decorate ….and actually create a space that reflected their own sensibilities and style. I could hold a mirror to ‘their’ inner creative mind and creatively execute it …making that space…theirs and no one else’s ! This became cleared when I did up my new home recently….right through from planning the colour palette for each room & space ….to seeing it all come together…..the furniture…..the upholstery…the blinds…curtains..cushions…..and then fine tune it with the right mix of artefacts …art..plants……and just establishing the space as a reflection of both…my husband and my ..ideas and requirement. Working on recreating or creating a new home…..is simply the best high ! It’s almost like a blank canvas…beckoning to be filled…to be made whole 🙂 ! So lets chat and understand….how you see your home…what would fill you with contentment as soon as you walk in…..what would give you immense joy each time you see it…..and all the things that you would like to discover about your inner creativity reflected in your home /space !! I stylise interiors by working on the colour palette…the soft furnishings…upholstery…blinds / curtains….and home decor …so that the end result is unique and meaningful to you ! Whether its a new home….or a current space that requires an infusion of ‘newness’……A home always has a story to tell…..and I would love to help you tell yours ! I look forward to hearing from you……..
