Bengaluru-based SaaS startup LeadSquared has become the 103rd unicorn company in India, after raising $153 Mn from WestBridge in a Series C funding round. It now joins another enterprise tech like Amagi, Browserstack, and Zoho in the list of Indian unicorns.

With the new funding, the unicorn will invest in India and North America, to expand in APAC and EMEA, launch new products, and fund acquisitions to accelerate organic growth.

LeadSquared was founded in 2011 by Nilesh Singh, Sudhakar Gorti and Prashant Singh, with Sukhbir Kalsi joining as a founding member. A number of solutions are offered by the startup, including integration of sales, marketing, and onboarding automation.

In addition to offering products in edtech, healthcare, BFSI, real estate, automotive, and hospitality, the startup offers consulting services. According to LeadSquared, there are more than 2,000 enterprises in 40 countries, along with more than 150K mobile users. Many unicorns, including BYJU’S, Dunzo, Zoomcar and Cars24, use its services.

The founder and CEO at LeadSquared, Nilesh Patel said, “A big opportunity is with us. By building a strong platform, we will be able to jump higher and build a global business that can compete globally.”

This unicorn generated revenue of 200 Crore in FY22 and 100 Crore in FY21.

With LeadSquared, India now counts 103 unicorns, including the 15th unicorn minted in 2022 and the 20th unicorn for enterprise tech and SaaS.

It previously raised $32 Mn in 2020, led by Gaja Capital, and $3 Mn in 2019 through Stakeboat Capital. In addition to this, it became the third unicorn of India’s 103 unicorns in June, as beauty eCommerce startup Purplle and edtech startup PhysicsWallah joined it.
